Prompt:

Review the independent reading you have done this year (August to May). What do the books you have read have in common? What do they tell you about the kinds of books you tend to gravitate toward? What kinds of books do you tend to stay away from?

With these things in mind, create a list of books you would like to read for the summer. In this list, include at least one book that would be a challenge for you. Say what that challenge is and how it will help you grow.

T (B) Blogging, Round 4: Self-Review essay (Artifacts of Learning)

Choose three artifacts that best represent your learning in Language Arts this year. Scan or photograph the artifact, and upload it as an image for your blog post. Use your artifacts to consider how far you have come and what you have learned since last August; each artifact should act as a point of reference, a touchstone if you will, in order to describe your big learning moments. Keep in mind that leaning sometimes comes from the work you are proudest of, and sometimes it comes from your mistakes. Use this blog post to recap all you have learned and to consider your growth in Language Arts overall.
